What is the goal of transport simulation?
Whether B2B or B2C, the success of product marketing depends crucially on the undamaged arrival at the recipient. The goal is to minimize risks during transit, whether by road, rail, water, or air. Besides other influencing factors, the quality of the packaging plays a central role here. Only careful inspection before use avoids costly damage, loss of image and customers – and provides indications of potential savings. This way, you can reduce costs and contribute to the sustainability of your company and environmental protection.
How is the most fitting test method selected?
As a certified ISTA testing laboratory, we can offer you all common test programs in the field of packaging testing and shipping simulation. In particular, we have climatic testing facilities that test your product for potential aging using various climate chambers and environmental chambers where we simulate extreme temperatures, humidity, and high temperature fluctuations, as well as shakers to simulate vibrations in a truck, for example. Both small packaging and pallets and transport containers are tested.
In close dialog with our experts, you specify the test method you would like to use to test your products. We are happy to support you with our many years of expertise in selecting the appropriate test cycles. We usually ask what the shipping route looks like, how the shipment is carried out (on a pallet, as a single package, or do both have to be tested?) so that a realistic simulation of this shipping route can be simulated in the laboratory. An attempt is made to set up a worst-case scenario in order to depict all eventualities.
