What happens during a needle-flame test?
During a needle-flame test, the test object is exposed to a 12 mm high flame under controlled conditions. The test procedure varies depending on the severity, but always includes: Ignition time: How quickly does the material catch fire? Burning behavior: How does the flame spread? Do burning parts drip? Self-extinguishing: Does the flame go out by itself?
