What is the SBA?
The Sterile Barrier Association (SBA) is a European trade association for manufacturers of sterile barrier systems (SBS) as well as related equipment and services. The goal of this non-profit organization is to improve and maintain product quality and quality standards in the manufacture and supply of single-use sterile barrier systems. Here, manufacturers and service providers can discuss industry-relevant topics. Twice a year, SBA members meet to discuss key industry topics. These include, among other things, the status of new standards and practices. Individual topics are worked on in committees throughout the year.
PAConsult will be a member of the SBA starting in 2026. As a recognized partner for packaging testing and validation in accordance with DIN EN ISO 11607, we work daily to ensure the integrity of sterile barrier systems (SBS). Through our SBA membership, we are now pooling our expertise even more closely with the leading minds of the European healthcare industry.
